Volunteer Opportunities with Parks, Recreation and Culture

Kawartha Lakes Parks, Recreation and Culture Division is pleased to offer a variety of volunteer opportunities this Spring and Summer. Whether you are a student looking to gain valuable community service hours are just looking to become more active in your community.

Summer Camp Volunteers:

Volunteers are required to assist with our summer camp programming in Lindsay and Fenelon Falls during July and August.

Volunteer requirements:

  *   Must be at least 14 years of age
  *   Potential volunteers will be required to under-go our screening process, including an interview and reference check
  *   There will be a mandatory volunteer training session to support volunteers in their roles

Aquatics Volunteer Team:

Our Aquatics Volunteer Team provides volunteers with valuable life and work skills and experience assisting with swimming lessons, Fun Swims and other special events.

Volunteer requirements:

  *   Bronze Medallion or higher
  *   Volunteers must attend a mandatory Volunteer Training Session prior to starting
