Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society First Member's Meeting with Presenter, Sylvia Keesmat

The Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society is proud to announce that our first members’ meeting since the pandemic was declared, will be happening next Monday, March 22nd, at 7:00 P.M. via Zoom.

Our presenter, Sylvia Keesmaat, will be speaking about:

THE SECRET LIFE OF VEGETABLES; MOON CYCLES AND COMPANION PLANTING

While we may think that planting our gardens is primarily a relationship between ourselves, the plants, and the soil, the reality is that there are invisible webs of relationship that enrich the growth and health of our vegetables. This talk will explore the hidden connections between our plants, the plants that surround them, and the cycles of the moon that affect them both.

Sylvia Keesmaat farms and gardens at Russet House Farm where she sells heirloom tomato seedlings and trains students in growing a large vegetable garden every year.  Sylvia earned her Permaculture Design Certificate in 2014.

MONDAY, MARCH 22, 2021, at 7:00 p.m.
