The Kawartha Art Gallery Presents Grease: A Free Film Screening on Aug 2nd
Movie begins at 9 pm; admission is FREE, but we recommend that folks arrive by 8:30pm to get set up before the film begins. Ben's Kettle Corn will be onsite to sell kettle corn, cotton candy, and sno cones, so bring some cash to enjoy to some snacks! Cans of pop and chips are also available for purchase by donation to the gallery. Make sure you dress in layers as it might get chilly after the sun goes down, and bring bug repellant (the mosquitoes are hungry at night). Parking will be available on-site, and it’s bring-your-own seating!
There’s fun, retro candy to be won at each screening! Here’s the next few dates and the instructions on how to participate for the candy:
August 2: Fenelon Falls - Grease
To win a fun retro candy, folks should dress in their best 50’s outfit/hair/makeup, or be willing to sing part of a song from Grease!
August 16: Bobcaygeon - Dirty Dancing
To win a fun retro candy, folks should dress in their best 80s dancewear and/or be willing to show off some of their best dance moves!
August 23: Fenelon Falls - The Princess Bride
To win a fun retro candy, folks should bring their best medieval fantasy costume/props, and/or be willing to quote their favourite lines from the movie!
August 30: Bobcaygeon - Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
To win a fun retro candy, folks should wear their best back to school fashion and/or share a story of school shenanigans that did or could have gotten a trip to the principal's office!
