Public Interview of the Candidates for the next Mayor of Kawartha Lakes
On Monday, September 19 from 7 PM to 9 PM, The Woodville Freedom Group (WFG) will host an event featuring all candidates for the next Mayor of Kawartha Lakes.
Billed as “a public interview by citizens for citizens”, it will be presented in the format of a job interview with the following elements:
Job description: City Mayor
Candidates: Bill Denby, Patrick Dunn, Doug Elmslie, Faye McGee, Jim Riches, Kathleen Seymour-Fagan
Selection Committee: you, the voting public.
The interviews will focus on topics that matter to every resident rather than Ward-specific issues.
About this Event
The Woodville Freedom Group is host for this event. A volunteer, “grass roots” organization with 700 members, WFG has emerged since early 2020 as an information centre and a mutual-aid community to help others cope in challenging times.

It will be a ‘live’ meeting open to the public. It will also be broadcast by Zoom and recorded for subsequent digital distribution.
