A Great Night Out!
The 2024 Chamber of Commerce AGM + Comedy Night was an evening filled with laughter, delicious food, and meaningful community connections. We took the opportunity to express our gratitude and bid farewell to our outgoing directors: Robyn Barton, Dana Geyer, Shannon Roszell, and Julia Taylor. Collectively, they have dedicated more than a dozen years as volunteer directors, contributing countless hours to enhancing our community. Their efforts have been instrumental in initiatives such as beautifying the downtown and bridge flower baskets and the canal with flags, serving as Editor of the Town Crier, expanding the Country Living Show, supporting the Santa Day and Waterfront Improvement committees, and leading the Chamber as President.
We are thrilled to welcome our new directors: Gwyn Drinkwalter, Nicole Mitchell, and Dave King. Their fresh perspectives, expertise, and dedication will be valuable as the Chamber continues to foster an inclusive business environment while promoting sustainable growth and tourism.
A special thanks goes to our Member Events Director, Samena Kennedy, for successfully organizing the evening. The stunning balloon photo backdrop was donated by The Balloon Auntie, while the delectable refreshments were provided by our generous local businesses: Board & Nibble Co, Godfathers, Lotus Indian Bistro, Sobeys, The Locker at the Falls, and Ziraldos. A winner from each table took home a fresh flower arrangement donated by Big Event Floral & Decorating.
