Anglican Church Bells Will Ring for Duke of Edinburgh

Bells will ring from St James Church at 10 am on Saturday, in conjunction with the funeral service for the late Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip. The bell will toll 99 times in honour of the years of of Prince Philip’s life.

Archbishop Linda Nicholls, Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada, has sent her deepest condolences to the Queen. “As we remember the Prince, we recall his many visits to Canada and his unwavering support of young people through the Duke of Edinburgh Awards,” she wrote. “Most especially we remember his strong commitment to duty and service through his own military career and his unwavering support of you, his monarch and spouse, and his nation.”
