In my Coaching practice, I am often asked for recommendations for good reads on business and leadership. Depending on what you are looking for, the following are some of my favourites.

The Trusted Advisor A practical guide to being a trusted advisor for leaders in any industry. Your success as a leader depends on our stakeholders’ trust.

Start with why – how great leaders inspire everyone to act – by Simon Sinek. This book was written for anyone who wants to inspire others, and anyone who want to find someone to inspire them.

Compassionate Leadership – How to do things in a human way -this book shines a light on how to create the culture of compassion and empowerment that unlocks creativity, productivity, and happiness in today’s organizations.

Can you hear me? – how to connect with people in a virtual world. – With wit and wisdom, the author reveals a dark side of the modern communication revolution. An important book that shows how we need to work to ensure that technology doesn’t rob us of the humanity, emotion and empathy that can make life, and work, fun.

Emotional Intelligence 2.0 – Emotional intelligence is an extremely important skill for persona and professional success. This book is excellent for understanding strategies for improving these much-needed skills.

The Five Dysfunctions of a Team – one of my all-time favourites – I even facilitate workshops using it. Patrick Lencioni writes leadership fables . In this fun and fast read, he provides a gripping analysis of what makes teams work effectively. Every manager will recognize themselves somewhere in this book.
