Lindsay: BGC Kawarthas (formerly Boys & Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes) has officially opened its first Fenelon Falls after-school youth program and is holding a grand opening event in celebration.

The drop-in program operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 – 6 p.m. at the Fenelon Falls United Church at 123 Colborne St, Fenelon Falls.

The grand opening event will consist of games, karaoke, free food, community building and more. It is open to the public and all ages are welcome. It is Tuesday, April 29th, from 3:30 – 6 p.m.. The ribbon cutting will be at 4:30.

An operating grant from City of Kawartha Lakes has made the new program possible.

“BGC Kawarthas provides an integral support to our youth and children,” stated Mayor Doug Elmslie in response to the operating grant approval. “We’re pleased to support the expansion into the Fenelon Falls area, where youth will now have more options for after school programming and activities.”
