Celebrating Community, Growth, and New Beginnings at the Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Club
June is officially Seniors Month—a time to recognize, celebrate, and honour the incredible contributions older adults make to our community. Here at the Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Club, we are marking the occasion the best way we know how: with connection, gratitude, and a celebration of a remarkably successful year.
To kick things off, we recently hosted our annual Seniors Month Tea and Silent Auction. It was a wonderful afternoon of community spirit, made even more special by the Reunion Choir, who provided the afternoon's entertainment. Much appreciation is extended to local businesses and club members who donated to the auction.
Looking back on the past year, the club has truly thrived. Thanks to the enthusiasm of our members and the dedication of our team, we have successfully expanded our calendar to include a variety of new programs, activities, and educational workshops. Whether it’s staying active, learning a new skill, or just sharing a laugh over coffee, the club continues to be a vibrant hub for local seniors.
None of this would be possible without our incredible community partners, whose ongoing support keeps our doors open and our programs accessible. Equal thanks go to our selfless volunteers. They are the heartbeat of our center, donating their time and energy to keep everything running smoothly day in and day out.
With growth comes change. We recently had to say goodbye to our Project Coordinator, Barbara Jones, who is relocating to be closer to her family. She will be greatly missed, and we wish her the best in her next chapter. Looking forward, the Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Club is officially seeking a new Program Coordinator to help lead the club into the next season of growth.
