THE DOWNTOWN SCULPTURE EXHIBITION 2025 PUBLIC LAUNCH & WALKING TOUR
Fenelon Falls, ON – The Downtown Sculpture Exhibition 2025 public launch and walking tour takes place this week.
The Fenelon Arts Committee (FAC) and Kawartha Works Community Co-op (KWCC), in partnership with the City of Kawartha Lakes, is bringing The Downtown Sculpture Exhibition back to Fenelon Falls. Six artworks will be on display from May to October 2025.
The official launch of the project will take place at Colborne Street Gallery, 36 Colborne Street, Fenelon Falls on Friday, May 9th beginning at 11 a.m. Artists will be in attendance and there will be a guided tour of the sculptures following artist introductions. Participating artists include Rosalinde Baumgartner, Angela Burdon, Carolanne MacLean, Danielle Reddick, James Cameron Smith, and Lynne Sproule. Artist statements, sculpture details, images, and purchase information will be published to the FAC website following the launch.
The project which is in its second year is open to artists and teams of artists across Canada. All sculptures are for sale and the FAC does not take a commission on sales. The FAC opened their call for submissions earlier this year and a jury of local arts and cultural members and business owners was appointed to select the 2025 sculptures.
