Essential Knowledge & Skills for Seniors: A Healthy Aging Workshop

On Thursday, November 12, from 9:30 to 2:15, the Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Club (Fenelon Falls Seniors Active Living Centre) is offering Essential Knowledge & Skills for Seniors, the second workshop in the 2026/27 Healthy Aging series. This event is a great way to build knowledge and skill in areas that are particularly useful for navigating your senior years.

Topics include:

  • Accessing Your Service Canada Benefits

  • Online Passport Renewal Process

  • Developing an Estate Plan

  • Investment Strategies for Seniors

  • Consent & Capacity Basics

  • Communicating Your Resuscitation Wishes

Exhibitors will also be available. A Flowing Zen Qigong movement break, refreshments and a catered lunch are included. Cost is $5 for FFSC members; $10 for all others. Register early as spaces are limited! Registration closes on Tues. Nov. 10 at Noon.

Registration is also open for a related activity, Qigong Fundamentals with Glenda. A practical seminar that introduces Qigong (pronounced chee guhng), an ancient Chinese healing art composed of flowing movements that benefit both your mind and your body. Wear comfy clothes and shoes to practice as you learn. Friday, Nov. 20, from 1 to 3 pm. Free for members; $5 for others.
