Thankful Hearts Walkers make event a success

Some were there to thank the team that supported them through their cardiac or pulmonary care. Others were there to support their loved ones’ continued recovery and to enjoy an energizing walk on a beautiful day. Still more chose to walk to support the ongoing needs of a life-saving program at the Ross.

All of them made a difference.

The combined support of the participants of the Thankful Hearts Walk on October 3 raised $4,610 to fund equipment and technology needs in the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation program at Ross Memorial Hospital.

Participants chose to walk a 2 km route around the block, or stick to a shorter path through the hospital gardens.

“The Thankful Hearts Walk is bigger than a one-day event,” said Erin Coons, RMH Foundation CEO. “Through their improved health, the walkers who took part are inspiring others to complete this life-altering care, and through their giving, they are helping to ensure the next group of patients also have access to the best care possible. We’re all part of the circle of care.”
