It’s That Time of Year: The Kawartha Lakes Country Living Show!
It’s our favourite time of year, when our town hosts our very own country living home show! Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Fenelon Falls & District Chamber of Commerce and the many volunteers involved, we look forward every year to seeing what’s new at The Country Living Show. Through events like this, artists, entrepreneurs and residents have a space to showcase their many talents, and we have the privilege of enjoying rural life at its very best. Our region is unique, it’s one-of-a-kind, and when everyone comes together, dedicated to supporting local businesses and strengthening the regional economy, it lends vitality to our entire Kawartha region.

At Home by Tim + Chris, we look forward to connecting people, discovering new businesses, and introducing our brand to new clients, while also enjoying the chance to see our valued customers out and about in the community.
We look forward to meeting you at the show. Home by Tim + Chris is a collection of design and build resources all under one roof. With 17 years of helping people create their spaces, we offer architectural and interior design from initial design consultation all the way through to custom carpentry, upholstery services, landscape design, and project oversight.

Country home shows are one of those quietly powerful forces that help small towns thrive. They bring together local vendors, builders, artisans, and service providers under one roof, creating a rare space where the entire community can see what’s being offered right in their own backyard. Beyond being a marketplace, they become a meeting ground for relationships, a place where business owners connect, and residents get to know the people behind the products and services they use every day. That sense of familiarity and trust is a cornerstone of strong, resilient small-town economies.

Just as importantly, home shows are a place for ideas to take shape. They give businesses the chance to introduce new products, test concepts, and gauge real-time reactions from the community they serve. Conversations at a booth can reveal what people are excited about, what they’re missing, and what they’re ready for next. In that way, home shows become more than an event; they become a living feedback loop that helps shape local innovation and keeps small towns evolving in step with the needs and aspirations of their residents.

The Kawartha Lakes Country Living Show is now in its 40th year and welcomes sponsors such as The Wolf 101.5, Enbridge, Fresh Radio 100.5, Nortech, B. Armstrong Contracting, and many more. With over 120 booths at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre, this year features an updated layout, artist installations and an on-site restaurant: The White Cottage Café. A donation at the front entrance is much appreciated, and we are hoping to see record-breaking attendance this year!

Attending a small-town country living show is one of the best ways to experience a new place while enjoying a full day out. It’s more than just checking out the show; it’s an invitation to explore everything the town has to offer. In Fenelon Falls, for example, you can spend the morning wandering through the show, then step out to discover charming local shops, hidden gems, and welcoming gathering spots. Popping into boutiques and browsing locally owned stores not only adds to the experience, it directly supports the small business community, and you never know what unique find you’ll bring home!
Of course, no day is complete without sampling the local fare. Whether it’s a casual bite like wings at The Locker at the Falls, a relaxed dinner at Murphy's Lockside Pub & Patio, or a stop at the Fenelon Falls Brewery, the town offers plenty of ways to settle in and soak up the atmosphere. With its walkable streets, scenic views, and welcoming energy, Fenelon Falls makes it easy to turn a visit to the show into a full, memorable day of connection, discovery, and local charm.
