How long have you owned your business?

We opened in July 2022.

What was the inspiration to start or purchase your business?

Our goal at the clinic is to contribute to the overall health and well-being of the Fenelon Falls community. We believe that by promoting proactive and healthy lifestyles, we can help reduce the demand for medical services in the Kawarthas region. We are inspired to support the community in building a happy, active, and health-conscious environment.

What is your favorite part of being a small business owner?

Meeting the community – the residents are awesome & the small business owners have been unbelievable welcoming. I have been a summertime resident of Balsam Lake my whole life – getting to spend time here year-round has been incredible.

What do you wish people knew about your business?

We treat more than just back pain – we treat the arms and legs too! Our approach to treatment emphasizes the three E's: education, exercise, and everything else – in that order. Depending on their specific needs and preferences, some patients may only require a diet and exercise plan, while others may benefit from chiropractic adjustments by hand and/or acupuncture. Our goal is to create a customized treatment plan for each individual patient. We provide treatment to two groups of people: those experiencing pain and those looking to improve their overall health. Our pain management services cover a wide range of issues, including acute and chronic pain, arthritis, headaches, dizziness, concussions, sprains/strains, sports injuries, and work-related aches and pains. For those seeking to improve their health, we offer a variety of wellness treatments such as muscle imbalance correction, diet and exercise guidance, biomechanical assessments, and ergonomic assessments. While we currently offer a range of treatments including chiropractic care, acupuncture, orthotics, manual and impulse adjustments, ultrasound, cupping, taping, and exercise and diet prescription, we hope to expand our services in the future to bring a greater range of healthcare options to the residents of Fenelon Falls.

What are you most proud of about your business?

We take pride in the amazing achievements of our patients who have worked hard to reach their goals. By meeting our patients where they are and providing them with the necessary tools, we have been able to help them accomplish many things, such as dancing at their grandchild's wedding, avoiding early retirement, going on vacation, returning to their favorite sport, losing weight and feeling great, running their small businesses, and much more. It is extremely rewarding to see our patients take advantage of the opportunities and resources we provide
