Lovin' it Local: Meet the Owner
The Lovin’ it Local campaign has been in full swing for a few months, hoping to encourage residents of the Kawartha Lakes + Haliburton regions to explore the hidden gems in their own backyard. A number of the beloved local businesses of Fenelon Falls have been featured, and we wanted to highlight a few of the interviews and photoshoots that were conducted to help you learn about our local business owners!
Hay Fever Season is Ending Soon!
We cannot thank our community enough for another spectacular Hay Fever event! From bees to cauldrons, and trailers and turkeys - our community showed up with commitment and creativity to their displays.
Pinterest Perfect at The Barn and Bunkie
The Barn & Bunkie was THE SPOT to be this past weekend. With their completely redone backyard filled with greenery and cute photo spots, Brandy has truly outdone herself. She hosted The Handmade Harvest on Saturday and Sunday where vendors from all over came to showcase their items.
Hay Fever is Back in Fenelon Falls
The team at Kawartha Works Community Co-operative (KWCC) is so excited for the second-ever Hay Fever event in Fenelon Falls! We have received such positive feedback from the community and have several amazing locations around town where you will see creative bale designs pop up. Don’t miss out on the awesome designs over the next few weeks!
What’s Up With the Sign Wars?
If you have been driving or walking through Fenelon, it is hard to miss the number of signs on storefronts, windows, and sandwich boards calling out other businesses. What started as a spontaneous sign in a Southwest Virginia town, has now turned into a friendly roast across the US-Canada border. The war has reached our small village of Fenelon Falls and our businesses do not lack creativity.
Skip Amazon, Shop Prime in Fenelon Falls!
Here we go again … April 2021 is looking a lot like April 2020. After a full year of COVID, our downtown small businesses have the virtual and contact-free shopping experience down to a science. Thankfully Marylee and I were able to get out in the sun and shop the village one last time before the stay at home order commences.
Christmas in July at The Barn and Bunkie
Submitted by Brandy Watson
Christmas in July is happening this Saturday 10 am - 5 pm and on Sunday 11 am - 4 pm and the remainder will happen on Monday Night Live. We also have a ton of clearance that is filling the rest of the store! This is all happening at our 14 Oak street location, across from the Fenelon Falls Tourism building and the other side of Murphy’s Lockside restaurant so you don’t have to shop hungry! We will be posting some sneak peeks on our social media channels soon so make sure you’re following the Barn and Bunkie on Facebook and Instagram!
