Important note for curbside collection

Residents are reminded to follow the curbside waste and recycling collection requirements, to ensure all your items are picked up every week:

  •  Bagged recycling will not be picked up. All recycling must be loose, rinsed of food residue and placed in an approved container for pick up

  • Waste and recycling must be accessible from the road: Waste, recyclables, leaf and yard materials and bulky items shall not be placed atop or behind a snow bank or other visual obstruction and out of the path of the snow plough or other maintenance equipment

  • Bins and bags should not weigh more than 40 pounds (18 kg)

  • Plastic film must be bagged within a plastic bag, tied and placed with your container recycling. Loose film will not be accepted

  • Syringes and needles are prohibited from curbside collection

Low Density Residential Buildings (less than three units):

  • Two clear bags of allowed waste per unit, per week

  • Unlimited recycling allowed.

  • Recycling must be placed loose in wide-mouthed bins (16-22 gallons) at the curb(carts will not be accepted)

 High Density Residential Buildings (three or more units):

  • Two clear bags of allowed waste per unit, per week

  • Unlimited recycling allowed, placed loose in bins or carts (65-95 gallon) at the curb

 Industrial Commercial or Institutional (ICI) Zoned Buildings

  • Four clear bags of allowed waste per week

  • Four (65 or 95 gallon) recycling carts allowed with loose recycling
