Notice from the Fenelon Falls Farmers' Market

Submitted by Kathy Martin

These are such uncertain times for many, including our Fenelon Falls Farmers’ Market.

Our plans for opening on May 15th have been put on hold for now. Although the government has deemed farmers markets essential food suppliers, we would only be allowed to have our vendors with food at this time. There would also be very strict rules in place for us and the customers to follow. Since we’re a small market and our vendors are local, (no resellers) produce and some other products are not readily available at this time of the year.

We have decided put things on hold until the first week in July, at which time we will only open if it is safe to do so, with all of our various vendors present. Our market has always followed the mandatory rules, laws and regulations set by the FMO (Farmers Market Ontario), Health and Safety Board and the city, and will continue to do so. We do have vendors that will be selling their products from home and their farms. For more information about which vendors will be doing this, please follow us on our facebook page : www.facebook.com/FenelonFallsFarmersMarket or our website: www.fenelonfallsfarmersmarket.com Thank you all for your support. We wish you good health, stay home, stay safe, we’ll all get through this.
