St. James the Apostle Anglican Church Opens His Doors

Submitted by St. James Communication Committee

St. James the Apostle Anglican Church opened his doors again on Sunday, September 13th and let in the beautiful fresh air and beautiful congregates of Fenelon Falls.  Judy Dickson led a wonderful Morning Prayer service and Sermon.

St. James was all ready with Covid-19 safeguards and it was wonderful to once again worship in his Sanctuary.  Carol Handley and Dana Bachman welcomed guests and congregants at the Church Hall Entrance (which is fully accessible).

With the heavy rains early in the weekend, the Sanctuary sprung a leak, but that did not stop St. James – a quick mopping and moving of some chairs, and the service began on time.

Peter Taylor and his dog Sadie arrived early to get a good spot and it was wonderful to see both of their smiles.   Reverend Susan Tate and her husband Barrie were there along with many Wardens and so many familiar faces. Sign of Peace was shared with waves and smiling eyes through the masks.

Reverend Susan Tate will conduct the service this Sunday, September 20th at 11:00 am.   It will be a Mass with Communion and all are welcomed.  Bev Jeeves will be a soloist.  All are welcomed.

St. James will be holding a Garage Sale at 7 Bond Street East, on Saturday October 3rd, 2020 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. The rain Date is Saturday, October 10th.

For contact tracing purposes, please feel free to contact Dana Bachman at 705-887-3232 or at gdbachman@yahoo.ca to indicate your intention to attend, or you may complete registration at the door.
