It’s Small Business Week!
It’s Small Business Week and traditionally it’s time filled with learning and networking events across Kawartha Lakes. This year the Fenelon Falls Chamber of Chamber joined with the Chambers in Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton along with our partners in the Kawartha Lakes Ecosystem Network to present the Virtual Business Summit.
The Summit was inspiring, encouraging and a great reminder of the important role small businesses play in each and every community. A resounding theme from the local business owners panel was “forever grateful”! These simple words were used to describe the support of family members and friends, financial institutions who took a chance, employees who became like family; in the story of their business.
It was a vivid picture of the role that each of us can play as someone dares to make their dream a reality. Many of us are not called to be entrepreneurs but we can certainly count a number of these courageous people in our family or social circles. Together let’s build a strong economic foundation by actively seeking out ways to support small businesses in our community.
