The Royal Canadian Legion
Fenelon Falls
Third Annual Literary Contest for Seniors
The deadline is drawing near for submissions to our seniors literary contest.
All entries must be submitted to br238seniorsliterary@gmail.com by 6:00 p.m, May 31, 2021 as only electronic submissions will be accepted.
All Seniors 55+ years of age are invited to participate. Legion membership is not a requirement.
All seniors have stories to tell. Why not put fingers to the keyboard and share. Your stories, poems or memoirs will be a treasure for your loved ones and perhaps an inspiration to others.
The contest covers four categories: Poems, Short stories, Essays and Memoir (includes biographies, auto-biographies and travel writing). A little something for everyone. You may enter once in each category or choose one category of interest.
Registration forms and the rules of the contest are available by contacting br238seniorsliterary@gmail.com.
Awards will be given to first, second and third place winners at a time and place dependent on current pandemic restrictions. The award is nice, the Community recognition rewarding, but the bragging rights are awesome!!
Flex your creative muscles, use your imagination, tickle your funny bone and share your talent. Help us spread the word with family and friends.
We know that these are very trying and challenging times for everyone. At the Legion we have a Veterans Service Officer, Glenn Wood (705-879-8877), who assists veterans and their dependents and a Seniors’ Chairman, Arlene Colman (705-454-1849) who will assist seniors. You don’t have to be a Legion member to avail yourself of our assistance. We are here if you need us just give us a call.
Take care, stay safe.
