We are so excited to announce that, with the support of Canada Summer Jobs and the Ontario Summer Experience Program, The Grove Theatre is hiring for FIVE new summer positions:
Community Coordinator (Full-Time), a CSJ position
Customer Service Supervisor (Full-Time), a CSJ position
Theatre Technician (Full-Time), a CSJ position
Floor Director - Front of House (Full-Time), an OSEP position
Administrative Assistant (Full-Time), an OSEP position
All students and youth who fill these positions will have the amazing opportunity to see how a brand-new professional theatre works! In addition, they will have the chance to be mentored by a number of different community members and professionals who have experience not only in the Arts, but business, fundraising, customer service and more. These wonderful mentors will provide guidance and expertise about the position and field in general.
These positions will help students and youth form stronger connections in the community, the arts, and support the development of their employable skills! Everyone will benefit by working with many different community members with a large range of backgrounds in business, arts, marketing, communication, and more. But most importantly, these new positions will help our wonderful Grove Theatre grow even more!

The Grove Theatre is a brand-new, outdoor amphitheatre for the community of the Kawartha
Lakes and beyond, located in Fenelon Falls. Built into the garden grove of the Fenelon
Fairgrounds, the spacious venue will be home to high-quality professional theatre, live music
and events. Friends and family will gather to enjoy open-air performances staged in an idyllic
natural setting. This season, The Grove Theatre is committed to being a space for everyone,
hosting community events, programming and tours.

Please note, to be eligible for CSJ positions, youth must:
be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment*;
be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and,
have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
To be eligible for OSEP positions, youth must:
All students must be currently enrolled in a secondary, or post-secondary institution or within six months of graduation and have reached the age of 15 and not yet reached the age of 25 upon commencement of employment or up to 29 years of age for persons with a disability, within the meaning of s.10 of the Ontario Human Rights Code, R.S.O. 1990, c. H.19, as amended from time to time.
Students must be employed full time for a minimum employment contract length of 246.5 hours or 34 days at 7.25 hours per day.
Proof of student enrolment must be provided to the employer.
Students must be residents of Ontario during the period of employment.
Students must be eligible to work in Canada and have a Social Insurance Number (SIN).
Students should be living in Ontario at the time they start work.
The intention of the program is to provide career-related experience to eligible students that are also eligible to work in Ontario.
