Come Visit Us @ The Book Lady

If you've been to Fenelon's local bookstore recently, you might know that Dana The Book Lady is a big fan of turtles. You may have even seen the store mascot, a red-eared slider swimming in his tank in the kids' book section!

On Saturday, September 25th, The Book Lady is teaming up to host the Haliburton non-profit organization Turtle Guardians on the bookstore's front patio space to bring some turtle education (and real live turtles!) to downtown Fenelon Falls. 

Ontario's native turtle species - like painted turtles and snapping turtles - play an important role in our ecosystem and in keeping our waterways clean and healthy.

This is a free interactive and informational event suitable for all ages. Come on out to the bookstore at 24 Market Street between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm on September 25th to learn more about our native turtle species and to meet the Teaching Turtles. Hope to see you there!
