Cable Cable, Ruralwave + Kawartha Lakes Food Source Provide Thanksgiving Meals

To help combat food insecurity in our region and give back to the community of Kawartha Lakes, Cable Cable and Ruralwave partnered with the Kawartha Lakes Food Source (KLFS) to provide 50 families with Thanksgiving meal kits. 

After purchasing the necessary items at the Sobeys in Fenelon Falls, the team members assembled meal kits that included all the ingredients for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. A Sobeys gift card was also given to help purchase additional items, such as a fresh ham or turkey. The kits were then delivered on Sept 29 to 50 local families in need.

KLFS is the only central food distribution warehouse in Kawartha Lakes, and with the rising cost of food, food insecurity is a reality for many. They can always do with extra support so they can continue to an essential resource in our community.
