From the Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society
There are only 9 more days left until our big PLANT SALE at the Fenelon Agricultural Society Memorial Building, Fenelon Fairgrounds! If you have plants to donate, you will be able to drop them off on Friday, May 27th between 1:00 and 4:00 P.M. or between 5:00 and 7:00 P.M. at the building. If possible, please label the plant with name, sun or shade or both sun/shade. (Thank you!) There are lots of spare pots behind the Museum if you need any.
If you have plants to donate but are unable to dig them up yourself, please contact Darlene at our backyardbuzz.ca website and we will be happy to harvest the plants for you.
Signs through the Community Centre parking lot will direct you to the Fairgrounds if you are not familiar with the Fairgrounds property.
The sale starts at 8:00 A.M. on May 28th! And don't forget, there will also be several other vendors on-site to visit - - be sure to check out their products.
We will also be having our regular monthly meeting on Monday, May 30th at 7:00 P.M. and it will be held in the same building as the Plant Sale. Any left-over plants will be available for sale at the meeting and, if you are interested in the plants, try to be there around 6:15. Beedahbin Peltier will be our guest speaker that night and he will be speaking to us about “Indigenous Perspectives on Biodiversity”.
As there was at our last meeting in April, there will also be three gift baskets available for people who wish to participate in our “Gifting For Gardeners” draw (tickets are one for $2 and 3 for $5). Each basket is valued at more than $40!
We hope to see you at both the Plant Sale and at our meeting on May 30th!
