Hello from the Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society!

Hello from the Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society! Our monthly meeting is happening next Monday evening, but we also want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all who attended our Year of the Garden “Live the Garden Life” Garden Tour last Saturday. FFHS volunteers were located at many of the gardens, where they handed out information bags and answered questions about specific plants and about the more than 20 gardens that our society cares for in Fenelon Falls.

Judy Kennedy (in the middle) guided visitors to explore the Victory Garden using their senses of smell and taste.

Our next gathering is another outdoor site meeting scheduled for next Monday, July 25th, at 6:30 P.M. and we hope that you will join us. John McEachern is going to host us at his Wee Tree Farm where you will see trees, bees and many pollinators on an evening stroll. There is even a community garden with some interesting things for sale! Guests are welcome at no charge.

Thank you to all the wonderful Fenelon Falls merchants, restaurants, vendors, musicians and artists who participated and augmented our Garden Tour to make it the success it was. The Maryboro Lodge Museum Victory Garden and Children’s Program activities drew a large crowd and the Colborne Street Gallery exhibits and artists were appreciated by everyone who had the pleasure of visiting the Gallery.

We hope to see you next Monday evening at the Wee Tree Farm!
