"Most people choose Niagara Falls, we chose Fenelon Falls"- Graham Howe

Fenelon Falls is a place where everyone can make memories. Gina Holstead and Graham Howe are two amongst many visitors that have special memories in Fenelon. Starting in the late 80's, the couple brought a houseboat while they worked at Balsam Lake Provincial Park running a food booth and boat rental. Not long after in 1990, they got married and decided to take their houseboat out on the Trent Severn Waterway for their honeymoon.

The pair is now retired and wanted to get back out on the boat again. Their new houseboat called "Pura Vida" which means 'Good Life' in Spanish represents the couple perfectly. This week Graham and Gina decided to return to Fenelon Falls for a couple nights. Our Tourism Ambassadors discovered that in one week it will be their 32 anniversary, and as it turns out they are docked directly across from where they originally stayed on their honeymoon. It's the people that return to Fenelon again and again that make our little town the Jewel of the Kawarthas.
