On Monday August 8th from 12-2 pm, come visit the Turtle Guardians at The Book Lady!

Did you know that 7 out of 8 of Ontario’s native turtle species are at-risk? The Turtle Guardians are a non-profit conservation group working to protect our native turtles.

Turtles play an important role in maintaining the ecosystem of our favourite freshwater lakes and rivers - including our local lakes on the Trent Severn Waterway.

The Turtle Guardians will bring their real live “teaching turtles” to the bookstore - don’t miss a chance to get up close and personal with a snapper!
