Dave King

Dave King - 1st year Director

Q. How long have you lived in Fenelon Falls?

a. I bought my house, just south of Fenelon, about 16 years ago. I also used to live here for a few years in my early teenage years.

Q. What is your business?

a. I do not have a registered business, however I am the small engine technology Teacher at Fenelon Falls Secondary School. We provide service to multiple types of vehicles and equipment with small engines at no labour cost to the customer.

Q. What do you love about Fenelon Falls?

a. I love the atmosphere that Fenelon Falls has both in the summer and winter months. As a father of young children, there are many things for them to do during the summer months. As an adult, I love the variety of businesses in Fenelon. In the winter months Fenelon turns into a relatively quiet, cozy town.

Q. Why did you join the Board?

a. I want to be able to help out where needed, whether it is communicating and networking with local businesses or providing some volunteer time to help support the community.

Q. What would you like people to know about the Chamber of Commerce?

a. Although I am new to the board, I have learned that the Chamber of Commerce is a group of individuals that are devoted to making the town a better place for the business owners and the community.

Q. If you could do or change one thing in Fenelon Falls, what would that be?

a. I was speaking with my friend Julian, and we both agreed that Fenelon would benefit from being a European focused town. Markets, butchers, deli’s and small hotels to accommodate our growing tourism. With the political turmoil on this present day, it would be a great way for Fenelon to continue be a destination for others but flourish as a community.
