2026 Candlelight Service November 10 and Remembrance Day Service November 11

Candlelight Service – November 10, 2026

The service remembers and commemorates veterans from any of the wars and missions our servicemen have been involved in. Someone in our community may have a parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, brother or sister, aunt or uncle they want to remember at the service. It is not only for fallen Canadian veterans. If you have someone who has come to Canada and has a loved one who has fought and died for our democracy, they are welcome to have a candle placed in that person’s name. You can walk with your candle, or one of our Legion members will carry it for you if you are unable to attend. The cost to have your loved one’s name on a candle is a $10 donation to our Poppy Fund.

The Candlelight Service will assemble on November 10th at 7 PM and will start at Slices & Scoops on Water Street, up Colborne to Francis St W and proceed to the Cenotaph on Market St.

Branch hours are as follows: Monday to Wednesday 3 pm to 9 pm, Thursday to Saturday 11:30 am to 8 pm,  Sunday 11:30 am to 6 pm.
