Building Healthy Communities: A Healthy Aging Workshop

On Thursday, September 24, from 9:30 to 2:15, the Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Club (Fenelon Falls Seniors Active Living Centre) is offering Building Healthy Communities, the first workshop in the 2026/27 Healthy Aging series. This event is a great way to learn about people and agencies working together to build healthy communities that support seniors to thrive as they age.

Topics include:

  • Taking Kawartha’s Vital Signs

  • Supporting Primary Care with Physician Recruitment

  • Building Strong Social Support Networks

  • Supporting Brain Health

  • Project Lifesaver

  • Geriatric Assessment and Intervention Network (GAIN) Team

Exhibitors (9+) will also be available. A Bagua Zhang movement break, refreshments and a catered lunch are included.

The workshop will be held at the Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Centre (58 Murray St, Fenelon Falls).

Cost is $5 for FFSC members; $10 for all others.

Register early as spaces are limited! Registration closes on Tues. Sept 22 at Noon.

A related event is Let’s Talk About Hospice, an afternoon coffee chat on Thursday, September 17, from 2-4 pm. The coffee chat is also at the Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Centre (58 Murray St, Fenelon Falls).

The event is free for FFSC members; $5 for all others.
