Construction Notice: Lindsay Street Bridge Rehabilitation

Kawartha Lakes – The City of Kawartha Lakes is starting a rehabilitation project on the Lindsay Street Bridge in Fenelon Falls to improve the bridge and ensure long-term safety and functionality.

Construction on the bridge is scheduled to begin on November 3, with an expected completion date of December 15. During this period, traffic will be reduced to a single lane and managed by on-site flaggers to ensure safety for both workers and motorists. Pedestrian access over the bridge and access to driveways and entrances will be maintained.

Note: The bridge will be open for the Santa Day Parade (November 29).

The scope of work includes:

  • Asphalt removal, waterproofing, and paving at expansion joint locations.

  • Removal and replacement of failed concrete structures in the southwest quadrant.

  • Minor sidewalk and curb replacements.

  • Concrete patch repairs to barrier walls, posts, and sidewalks.

  • Asphalt removal and repaving on bridge approaches.

This work will be carried out by Clearwater Structures Inc. under the supervision of D.M. Wills Associates Limited.
