Fenelon Falls Curling Club Open House and Learn to Curl Program
The Fenelon Falls Curling Club (FFCC) will host an open house for registration on Monday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 15, from 6-8 pm at 41 Bond Street West. Stop by if you have any questions or want to tour the club and register.
The Learn to Curl Program offers adults a five-week introduction to the basics of curling in a fun and social setting. The program is led by a team of Club Coaches and assisted by enthusiastic volunteers, and ends with a New Beginnings bonspiel. You will learn the basics of the game, safety tips and curling etiquette. In addition, your Learn to Curl membership includes play in one of our leagues for the first session of the season (end of October through early January).
The program is divided between the classroom and on the ice. Topics covered in the program include: safety on the ice, equipment, the language of curling, stone delivery, sweeping, strategy, scoring, the rules of curling and etiquette. The time you spend on the ice focuses on learning and practicing delivery of stones and sweeping.
Learn to Curl dates:
