Kawartha Lakes Small Business Centre announces new cohort for Starter Company PLUS Program

The Kawartha Lakes Small Business Centre is excited to announce that applications for the next cohort of the Starter Company PLUS Program will open on Friday September 27, 2024. This dynamic program is designed to support Kawartha Lakes’ emerging entrepreneurs and small business owners, providing them with the resources and expertise needed to take their ventures to the next level.
The Starter Company PLUS Program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and stimulating local economic growth. It offers a range of benefits including:
Mentorship and Coaching: Participants will receive one-on-one guidance from experienced mentors who can provide valuable insights and advice tailored to their specific business needs.
Business Workshops: Access to a series of workshops and training sessions covering critical topics such as business planning, marketing strategies, and financial management.
Financial Support: Eligible participants may receive grants of up to $5000 to help with start-up costs or business expansion, enabling them to invest in essential resources and equipment.
Networking Opportunities: Engage with a vibrant community of fellow entrepreneurs, potential partners, and local business leaders through networking events and community activities.

The program is open to individuals aged 18 and over who are residents of the Kawartha Lakes region and are interested in starting or expanding a small business.
