Kawartha Lakes spirit shines at International Plowing Match and Rural Expo

The International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) wrapped up on October 5, and we are thrilled to share that the event was a tremendous success, attracting over 50,000 attendees!

The IPM event truly showcased the spirit of excellence and innovation of our local agricultural community. With engaging exhibits, educational workshops, and lively entertainment, there was something for everyone to enjoy. We are grateful to all those who played a role in making this event possible for our community.

Mayor Doug Elmslie shared, “It was inspiring to see leaders from all political parties come together in our community to support the IPM. This event provided Kawartha Lakes with another valuable opportunity to discuss firsthand the issues we face and how we can work together towards solutions. I couldn’t be prouder of staff, volunteers and community partners for making this event such a resounding success!”

We also want to express our appreciation to the many community partners who joined us in Showcase Kawartha Lakes, a 10,500 square foot exhibit. Your support was crucial to the event’s success. Together, we demonstrated the power of collaboration and community spirit, making this event a memorable experience for everyone involved.
