Photography Workshop

Capture the beauty of winter from behind the lens of your camera. The Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Division will be hosting a Winter Photography Workshop this February in Fenelon Falls.

In this one-day workshop, participants will learn how to adjust exposure and work with objects against the snow to add depth to their images. Learning valuable tips and tricks to ‘see beyond seeing’, participants will learn how to develop their own style by exploring ideas that can help capture images in a unique way. This workshop will be a lecture-style discussion followed by a hands-on opportunity to get outdoors and capture the textures, shapes, shadows, and colours, that make up the many moods of winter.

This fun and informative workshop will be led by Rob Stimpson, an award-winning photographer best known for capturing the fury and tenderness of the Canadian outdoors.

The Winter Photography Workshop is scheduled to take place at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre on Saturday February 10, 2024. Pre-registration is required and limited space is available.

Registration is now open through the Kawartha Lakes Online Program Registration website. Participants will be required to provide their own camera. Registration will close on Friday February 2, 2024.
