Globus Theatre is turning 20 and that deserves a party to end all parties - so why not join in the festivities!
Come and celebrate at the fundraising event of the year.
This is the place to see and be seen, so tart up the tux, dust off the diamonds and join Globus for a night of dancing and carousing!
There will be fabulous food and lots of exciting prizes donated by our supportive community of local businesses. Meet some of your favourite performers from past seasons, then get those dancing shoes ready and prepare to party the night away!
Globus Theatre is a charitable arts organization, committed to producing professional theatre in the Kawartha Lakes region. Programs include: full-scale mainstage theatre, music and comedy performances; a School of Dramatic Art, offering programs for youth and adults; and several community outreach programs, for participants ranging from children to seniors. Since 2003, Globus has entertained the local community and encouraged cultural visitors to the region, producing almost 200 productions, bringing fantastic performers from across Canada to the Kawartha Lakes, and now reaching an audience of10,000 people a year.
In April 2022, Globus launched a $2 million dollar Raising the Barn Capital Campaign. Reaching the Raising the Barn fundraising goal allows Globus Theatre to acquire the Lakeview Arts Barn (LAB) in Kawartha Lakes, transitioning from being the theatre-in-residence, to owning the venue – a building that has been a social meeting place in our community for over 50 years! The campaign currently stands at $1.33 million, however, the deadline to meet the goal is fast approaching. Reaching the $2 million dollars will require lots of community support - so why not come dance the night away and help the cause!
