Kawartha Lakes Farmfest offers a safe, family-friendly farm experience
Originally shared by Kawartha Lakes News
Kawartha Farmfest makes its annual return on Saturday October 3, 2020 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. The self-guided tour features nine sites including stops at four family farms. Health and safety protocols have been updated to allow for physical distancing and contact tracing through online registration. Kawartha Farmfest is an opportunity for people to engage with area agricultural producers, and retailers in a fun, family friendly and safe way. It’s a chance for people to experience the fall harvest first hand while learning about the farms in the community. The participating host farms are graciously opening their doors to provide tours and answer questions about their operation. Kawartha Farmfest is both a celebration of agriculture and brings the community together in a hands-on experiential way.
