The Colborne Street Gallery invites you to their Spring Art Launch Party

Join the Colborne Street Gallery for a celebration of texture and nature at their Spring Art Launch party featuring the incredible work of Rebecca Fortin. Her "Cast-Off" series captures the delicate architecture of the botanical world in a way you have to see to believe.

During this session, Rebecca will demonstrate how fresh, sustainably grown, and ethically wildcrafted plants are pressed into wet clay and cast in plaster to capture their delicate, lifelike textures. She will also share her process for finishing each piece using natural dyes, which she hand-prepares from botanicals grown in her garden or sustainably sourced in the wild. More than just a technical showcase, the demonstration includes an exploration of 40 species often dismissed as “weeds,” where Rebecca discusses their vital ecological importance and shares the personal journey behind her Cast-Off series.
