Friends! Drop by 991 Portage Rd. and visit our vendors at the 3rd Main Street Pop-Up Market - open from 10am-2pm! (Vendor spaces still available – email events@theoldekirk.ca).
At 12:30 pm - we are SUPER excited to announce that the Model A Owners of Canada – Trillium Chapter - will be stopping at the museum while on their Canal Lake Tour! To see one Model A is amazing sight, to see a number of them is EXCEPTIONAL! Please don’t miss this window of opportunity to take pictures and chat with the car owners. The cars will be stopping briefly in front of the museum for only 30-45 minutes around 12:30. Bring your camera and tell your friends!!
Lastly, to round off a very busy day, we hope that you will join us for an encore presentation of the movie "Brotherhood" at 7pm. A few years ago, we premiered the movie with the director and actors in attendance. This showing will commemorate the 98th anniversary of this tragic local story on our big screen and will include new footage of a Re-Dedication Service that was held in Toronto in June this year. A food cart and popcorn will be available prior to the showing. Arrive early for a bite to eat! Admission to the movie is by donation to KDHS.
