As 2020 comes to a close it’s the perfect time to celebrate our local businesses and their hard work, endurance and courage. For some it was also a milestone year which certainly deserves a hip hip hooray and congratulations! Join us in celebrating the following business anniversaries.
Jardine Funeral Home, Cremation & Tribute Centre
Rob and Monica Jardine purchased Illman-Platten Funeral Home on August 1, 2000 and celebrated 20 years of ownership this summer. The Jardine's feel their most important contributions to the community are remaining at the forefront of funeral service technology by implementing a virtual selection option that provides a complete online shopping experience for all the families they serve, both at the time of need and prearrangement. This accomplishment for them is a reflection of how both consumers and funeral service have changed over the past 20 years and how Jardine’s is continuously improving their service offerings to better serve the Fenelon Falls community.

FENELON FALLS REAL ESTATE LTD celebrated its 15 year anniversary at 20 May St, in November, 2020. We love being a part of this community and would like to thank our clients for trusting us to help them fulfill their real estate needs over these years. Also, we’d like to thank our sales team and office administrators for all their dedicated work, and our commercial tenants over the years, Trish’s Hair Styling, The Crafty Ewe, and currently Sun Life Financial. A special thank you goes to our son Jon of WWG Design and Build who gave 20 May St a much needed facelift, addition and deck with handicap ramp.
The Book Lady
My third anniversary in business at The Book Lady occurred during the spring lockdown on April 7th, 2020.
It has been a challenging year! I’m extra thankful for: my customers for their efforts in supporting my bookstore, the network of local business owners I belong to here, and our wider community for doing our collective best to keep everyone safe and healthy. I look forward to celebrating my 4th business anniversary in 2021, and hope to make up for missing out on it last year
The Locker at The Falls
Celebrated our 1 year anniversary on November 27th. You will come for the view. You will return for us!! We are a fully renovated Family Restaurant & Pub with both indoor and outdoor dining. Friendly and safe atmosphere. Open year round. Seasonal menu & daily features.
We are beyond grateful for all the continuous support from the residents of Fenelon Falls and surrounding communities; it has definitely been an extremely exciting adventurous year!

A fair bit’s changed since we first stepped into the livery stable, dreaming up plans to build a premium brewery for our community. What hasn’t changed is our values and commitment to stay true to our role as a local, independent village brewer and give back to our community. Though our first year has been like no one ever expected, as a small family-run company, the ongoing support means more to us than you could ever imagine. All the comments, encouragement and orders make us more proud than ever of being an Ontario craft brewer serving our amazing community--right here in Fenelon Falls. Thank you.
