Dinner and Trivia Night
Beat the winter blues at the Chamber of Commerce dinner and trivia night on Saturday, Jan. 27th at the Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Centre (58 Murray Street).
Fenelon Falls, A Chosen Destination for Locals & Visitors
Popularly known as the “Jewel of the Kawarthas” , Fenelon Falls is a village located in Kawartha Lakes. Filled with unique shops, dining experiences, landmarks and outdoor activities; this picturesque village has offered something for everyone over the past several years. So, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and tourism trends began to shift, this quaint village faced an unprecedented challenge: “How to become the chosen destination for visitors, offering a safe tourism experience in any given environment?” With this mission and a “go digital” mandate in mind, Fenelon Falls embarked on a new journey. Supported by an innovative partnership with a Canadian augmented reality tourism app co. - Driftscape.
Meet Kellie-Anne
Hello everyone! My name is Kellie-Anne Powell, and I am the new placement student at the Fenelon Falls tourism office. A little bit about myself- I am in my final semester at Fleming College in the Global Travel program. I have never worked in online marketing before, so this job is a fun change of pace! I have really enjoyed getting acquainted with each member's business (virtually, of course!) and I would love to take a trip down to Fenelon once things clear up to meet everyone in person.

Love Always Wins
Submitted by the Fenelon Falls and District Chamber of Commerce
By now you may have heard of a recent incident of discrimination against the staff of a beloved local business, Grr8 Finds Market. Grr8 Finds Market is well known not only for the impressive collection of antiques, collectibles, and home decor they have on display, but also for the welcoming and accepting environment they offer to their staff, customers, and members of our community. They are a pillar of love and acceptance in Fenelon Falls.
On behalf of the Fenelon Falls & District Chamber of Commerce, the Explore Fenelon Falls team is speaking out in support for the Grr8 Finds staff, including owner, Randy Meredith, and employee, Rylee Rae. We are so proud of the many business owners and community members that have already stepped forward to share their love and solidarity, which embodies our beautiful village's values of diversity, inclusivity, and kindness towards all. We are stronger together!
Volunteer Effort Brightens up the Fenelon Bridge
Many spots in town - including the bridge over the falls - got a little brighter this past week after a huge collective effort from local volunteers worked to install and plant beautiful flower boxes and baskets around town. Spearheaded by Julia Taylor and Marylee Boston on behalf of the Fenelon Falls and District Chamber of Commerce, the mission to beautify our community spaces relies on the volunteer efforts of a huge group of people. Julia and Marylee would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who pitched in to make this project come together this summer.
