I just wanted to quickly bring your attention to the Environmental Hero Awards hosted by the City of Kawartha Lakes’ Environmental Advisory Committee (CKLEAC). This year, CKLEAC is giving out two different awards:

·         The Environmental Business Hero Award, which recognizes a business who’s made an outstanding environmental contribution to our community within the past year; and,

·         The Environmental Youth Hero Award for a student or group of students in Kawartha Lakes who have shown a commitment to improving the wellness of the environment.

Nominations close on Friday, February 28 and can be submitted on our Environments page.

There are a lot of people in our municipality working to improve our environment and to help ensure no one misses their opportunity to be recognized, it’d be greatly appreciated if you could help spread the word within your network. More details are available on our website and I’ve also attached CKLEAC’s poster for the Environmental Hero Youth Award.
