Get Ready: "Hay Fever" is just Around the Corner!

Submitted by Maddy Warlow on behalf of the Kawartha Works Community Co-operative

The team at Kawartha Works Community Co-operative (KWCC) is so excited for our Hay Fever event in Fenelon Falls! We have received such positive feedback from the community and have seven final locations around town. Don’t miss out on the awesome designs over the next few weeks!

You can check out the sculptures at:

  • Timberfell, with their own design team

  • Barn & Bunkie, with their own design team

  • Trent-Severn Waterway Island, sponsored by us here at the Kawartha Works Community Co-op and designed by the Warlow family

  • The Fenelon Falls Chamber of Commerce, with the help of the Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society

  • Highland’s Propane, with their own design team

  • Sobeys, with their own design team

  • Cornerstone Furnishing, with the help of the Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society

We cannot wait to see all the fun and festive Hay Fever designs these businesses and community members come up with. The Hay Bales will be dropped off tomorrow, Friday September 18th, and worked on throughout the week. They will remain in place until October 14th. This event allows for some fun social distancing tours of the community throughout the Fall season!

A large thank-you to our community, who continues to be resilient and positive during these unprecedented times. Thank-you to Harmony McNish, the KWCC’s Event Coordinator summer student, who has worked hard to make this event possible in our community. We hope Hay Fever will put a smile on everyone’s face as we enter into the Fall holiday season.
