Pink WR Crawlers in their 18th CIBC Run for the Cure
I am just sending along this note to thank all of the individuals in Kawartha Lakes who kindly donated to our Team, the Pink WR Crawlers in our 18th year for taking part in the CIBC Run for the Cure, which took place on October 2nd.
Our little team of 10 women, some who live in Fenelon Falls, Burnt River, and Rosedale came away with the Women's Challenge Award for raising $11,473.21.
Our Team Captain, Patricia Goode Zahorec was the top individual fund raiser by bringing in $5,712.71 (by doing so, was able to direct those funds to metastatic breast cancer research) and was also given the honour of being the keynote speaker at the event to share her story of hope to all the walkers and runners on the day.
We all know someone who has been touched by breast cancer and words cannot express our appreciation to all of the wonderful giving people who helped make this happen.
This is just not our victory, it is yours also.
Sent with grateful thanks,
Patricia Goode Zahorec
Proud Team Captain of the Pink WR Crawlers
