UNIQUE ART SHOW: AN ARTFUL LEGACY
Something very special is coming to the Kawarthas. Three proudly Ukrainian-Canadian siblings are holding a joint art show and sale July 30-31 in Fenelon Falls.
The adult children of prolific painter Lillian Nesdoly were inspired by her creativity to take up their own artistic tools in tribute to her lasting legacy. Three siblings, three different approaches to art.
As a medical doctor with surgical precision and attention to detail, Derek’s works are informed by the accuracy required in diagnostics and treatment of patients, especially in the exactitude of his pointillism pieces. A world traveller, he entices you to explore scenes from his international adventures.
Retired music educator and resident of Fenelon Falls, Laurel creates with all the dramatic flair you would expect from a conductor. Her works evoke an emotional response to melodious symphonies of texture, colour, contrast and movement.
After years of analyzing literature, former English teacher Christine now paints narratives, each piece telling a unique story, including charming hints of irony, allusion, and metaphor. Her style varies from intricate fantasies to animals in unusual contexts to Picasso-like portraits.
The Nesdolys invite you to come and enjoy some unique Canadian art while you explore the beauty of cottage country.
AN ARTFUL LEGACY: Art Show and Sale runs July 30 from 11:00-7:00 p.m. and July 31 from 11:00-5:00 p.m. at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre, 27 Veterans Way, Fenelon Falls.
