Rotary Club of Fenelon Falls Volunteer Appreciation Evening

Submitted by Helen Robinson

Maryboro Lodge Museum provided the perfect venue for the Rotary Club of Fenelon Falls Volunteer Appreciation Evening thanking community members from around the area who stepped up to the plate to work at the Covid 19 Vaccine Clinics held at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre from April 2021 to April 2022.

Dr. Natalie Bocking the Medical Officer of Health for the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit presented President Dave Kish with a plaque recognizing the significant role the 230 volunteers played during the Covid pandemic.  After the speeches, volunteers enjoyed a barbeque and an opportunity to converse with friends.

The Rotary Club would like to thank those volunteers from The Lions Clubs of Fenelon Falls, Bobcaygeon and Coboconk, The Seniors Club of Fenelon Falls, the Curling Club and the Bobcaygeon Kinettes as well as individual members of the community.

T-shirts and pins volunteers wore during clinics, came from donations from Jamie Schmale MP; Laurie Scott MPP; George Wilson Motors, Investors Group/Lindsay as well as individual community members Susan Jackett and Susan Webster.

Stay Safe everyone.
