Barbara Jones-Workshop Coordinator Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Club

The Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Club has been approved for a grant which was written for a project on healthy aging. Through this grant we were able to hire a Workshop Coordinator to facilitate 4 educational and motivational workshops and related follow-up activities, the first of which will be held August 22, 2024.

After careful consideration Barbara Jones was chosen to fulfill that role. You can find her at the club Tuesdays from 9 to 1, Wednesday from 1 to 5 and Thursdays from 9 to 5.

Barbara is a retired registered nurse and a current clinical consultant on best life aging. She has many years of experience directing, developing, executing and evaluating professional development activities. Please give her a warm welcome when you see her around the centre.

We are confident that Barbara will successfully guide the club through the 4 workshops and the related follow-up activities- Active Living, Healthy Aging, Independent Lifestyle and Digital Literacy & Fraud Prevention. Club members will receive the information on each of these events by email and it will be announced on our Facebook page, as well as here in the Town Crier on the event page.

The first of the workshops, Active Living, will be held on August 22, 2024, please call 705-887-7007 or email at fenelonseniors@gmail.com for more information and to register for the event. Registration for each workshop is required as limited spaces are available.
