Sixth Annual Kawartha Lakes Youth Awards

Do you know someone in Kawartha Lakes between 12 and 24 years old who deserves recognition for their achievements at such a young age? BGC Kawarthas (formerly Boys & Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes) would love for you to nominate them for the Kawartha Lakes Youth Awards! They are also offering two scholarships; the Ron Kennedy Scholarship, to anyone who is going to postsecondary school in the next 12 months, and the Marcie Beall Scholarship, to anyone between 17 and 24 who could use it for education or employment opportunities.

There are a total of eight awards across various subjects, including art, human rights, sports, and leadership. Anyone can be nominated for two awards, not just one. If they end up a finalist, they will be contacted and invited to the Youth Awards ceremony in June, where the winners are announced. Also, every winner and finalist will have their story told to the thousands of BGC Kawarthas social media followers. It may look good on a resumé or college application.
