From the Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society

The Fenelon Falls Horticultural society welcomes you to our monthly meeting next Monday, September 25th at the Senior Citizens Club of Fenelon Falls (58 Murray Street, Fenelon Falls).  Please come for Refreshments at 6:45 to socialize with other members before our speaker’s presentation begins at 7:15.

Our speaker this month will be Catherine McNeely, now a permanent resident of Georgina, Ontario, but until 2015 she was a life-long seasonal resident there.  Catherine began to build a native species habitat on her property to encourage more bird species but soon developed a broader, holistic view of good land stewardship.

Please join us to hear how Catherine has turned her property into a haven for birds and animals of all kinds.  She is now not only the recipient of an award from the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority but has also become an advisor and consultant to her friends and neighbours who want to add biodiversity to their own properties. She can help you to do the same!

Members are free and guests pay $5.00. Come at 6:45 to meet other members! We hope to see you next Monday evening.
