Kawartha Lakes Wellness Fair: A Day of Health and Community Spirit
The Municipality of Kawartha Lakes is excited to invite the community to our fifth annual Wellness Fair! Join us on Wednesday September 25, 2024, 10am to 4pm at the Victoria Park Armoury, 210 Kent Street West in Lindsay for a day dedicated to promoting health and wellness for both body and mind.
"Overall health and wellness is so important in everyone’s daily lives to reduce the risk of stress, illness and disease, and helps to ensure positive relationships with self and others," explains Jill Stroud, Kawartha Lakes Acting Supervisor – Corporate Safety. "
The Kawartha Lakes Wellness Fair is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the diverse health and wellness resources within our community!"
2024 event highlights include:
Indoor Short Mat Lawn Bowling and Nordic Pole Demonstrations: Try out these activities and discover how they contribute to a healthy lifestyle
Hear Canada: A clinician will be on-site booking ear cleaning and assessments throughout the day
Canadian Blood Services: Book your appointment for upcoming blood drives
Kawartha Lakes Humane Society: Meet adorable kittens available for adoption (pending availability)
Massage Therapy and Acupuncture: Enjoy demonstrations from local clinics
Admission to this event is free but attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food bank donation in support of Kawartha Lakes Food Source. For ideas on what to donate, view the donation items in need list.
BioPed Lindsay will also be on site at the event collecting gently used footwear for donation as part of their Soles4Souls program.
All attendees at the event will receive a complimentary swag bag and will have a chance to enter a door prize raffle.
